This week Pastor Laitinen and Pastor Zarling interviewed Pastor John Borgwardt. Pastor Borgwardt has served the past 20 years at Living Word Lutheran Church in Waukesha, WI. Living Word has recently built a new church after worshiping in a school gym for 18 years. We discuss the intentionality of their location, their worship space, and their outreach efforts. We also talk about Pastor Borgwardt and Pastor Zarling playing soccer together at Northwestern College three decades ago.
We examine what Jesus means when he says to be dressed and ready for service in Luke 12:35-40. The topic of suicide is introduced and we delve into how to be ready to minister to those who are struggling and suffering. We explore the marvelous grace of Jesus saying as the Master he will serve us as his servants. We also examine the confidence that Jesus gives us in his last words of Scripture in Revelation 22:6-13 and what effect these words should have on Christians and non-Christians.
