Water of Life Lutheran Church is committed to excellence in Christian education. We are proud to be a part of the WELS educational system, one of the largest private systems in the United States.
We support Christian education from 4K all the way to college and the Seminary.
Wisconsin Lutheran School
Wisconsin Lutheran School (WLS) is a school for students in grades 4K through eighth grade established to provide high quality Christian education and training. All that we teach is based upon Scripture, which we hold to be entirely the Word of God. WLS equips Jesus' lambs with life-skills that glorify God. WLS is fully accredited through Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod Accreditation (WELSSA) and the National Council of Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).
Wisconsin Lutheran School is jointly supported by Water of Life and First Evangelical Lutheran Churches. Wisconsin Lutheran School currently operates on three campuses. The Early Childhood Campus (ECC), which houses 4K through grade 2, is located adjacent to the Water of Life Lutheran Church Racine Campus at 2920 Bate Street on the south side of Racine. The Elementary School, which houses grades 3-5, as well as one of our school offices, is located adjacent to First Evangelical Lutheran Church at 734 Villa Street. Our newest location is the Middle School at 718 Grand Avenue, which houses grades 6-8 and the main school office. WLS home soccer games and track meets are held at our Water of Life Caledonia Campus at 5970 Douglas Ave.
WLS strives to achieve two objectives. We seek to prepare children for eternity by learning about Jesus and his forgiveness. We also seek to develop good citizens for our community and country. Jesus stated that these are the greatest of all the commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind" and "Love your neighbor as yourself." We seek to instill this in our children by example and instruction. The Lord is gracious to promise that he will see that all other things are added to us according to our needs. (Matthew 6:33)
In 2017, 2018, and 2019, WLS earned the highest State Report Card for voucher schools in Racine.

Martin Luther College
While every institution has its strengths, Martin Luther College (MLC) is distinctive. MLC is the WELS College of Ministry. It exists solely to train future pastors, teachers, and staff ministers for the public ministry in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). It is located in New Ulm, Minnesota.
Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary
The purpose of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary is to offer theological training that prepares men to enter the pastoral ministry of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) or of churches within its confessional fellowship. The seminary also endeavors in various ways to offer opportunity for theological and professional growth to called workers who already are serving in the ministry of its confessional fellowship.
