This This week Pastor Laitinen and Pastor Zarling interviewed Stephen Googins who is a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Toledo, OH. We discussed his vocation of being a millwright, as well as his avocation for philosophy and theology.
We examined Jesus’ talk with Nicodemus in John 3:1-17 and how Jesus discusses total depravity, Baptism, and God’s great love for the world in their late-night conversation. We also examined Romans 4:1-5, 13-17 and what it means to be “credited” or “imputed” with Christ’s righteousness and how important it is that God justifies “the ungodly” as opposed to God justifies “the believer.”
Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who wants the water of life take it as a gift. Stay thirsty, my friends. Quench that thirst in the Water of Life.
